Hitacu Community Housing Project
About the Project
Trafalgar Homes partnered with the Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ Government to deliver five single-family homes in the community of Hitacu, with the shared goal of creating affordable, high-quality housing that supports Nation members in returning home and strengthening the local community.
The project included three Westcoast designs and two Hillcrest designs, each selected for their livability, durability, and suitability for the coastal environment. All homes were built simultaneously to streamline efficiency, ensure consistent quality, and meet the Nation’s timeline.
Despite the remote setting and coordination logistics, the entire construction was completed within an 8-month timeline, from site preparation to final handover. This project reflects our continued commitment to supporting Indigenous communities across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands through reliable, collaborative, and community-focused construction solutions.
